It is someone who encourages to do things outside your comfort zone- and as distinct from a coach- it is someone who has experience and has been there and done it all before. Which is why, when it comes to the internet I’m so grateful to Gideon Shalwick and Yaro Starak who’ve been helping me out. Thanks guys!

The 7 Profit Principles to A Successful
Speaking Career
There are 7 Profit Principles you must master if you want to have a successful speaking career. Whether speaking is an adjunct to your current business or you are building a standalone career as a speaker- these will hold true for you.
It is these 7 Principles that allowed me to go from zero to half a million dollars in my speaking business in 3 short months. So have a look and seeing if you are employing them in your speaking.
Profit Principle #1: Passion. Unlike in any other business, as a speaker you must really care about your topic. In fact the success of your speaking career depends upon your passion for your topic, your products and your services. So contrary to what the marketers tell you- as a speaker your SHOULD fall in love with your topic!
Profit Principle #2: People. You must, however find a niche of people who are as passionate about your topic as you are. If there is no niche like this, well your speaking career will suffer. Who’s going to buy your products and services? Make sure they are easy to get to and have money in their pocket.
Profit Principle #3: Promise. You have to create a “core promise” of your business that sums up the biggest problem that your clients face, and how you solve it…uniquely. As part of this step you should define your unique speaking identity -which is how people will remember you. For example “The Super Nanny” is a title we are familiar with. Or you might know T Harv Ecker as the “Millionaire Mind” guy. How do you want people to remember you?
Profit Priciple #4: Propagate. To ensure a successful and profitable speaking career you must continually build your community. That is- build a list of the people who are interested in you and your information- and build a relationship with those people. It is these people who will be your customers. To do this it is vital to propagate your promise through the web, media and offline in networks.
Profit Principle #5: Products. Be sure to create products and services (preferably though not exclusively information products) with high profit margins. The aim of these products is to leverage your time in the most effective way possible. So look to create an Elegant Business Model. Don’t just sell your time.
Profit Principle #6: Presentation. You must have at least one Effective Presentation. This is a speech that moves people to action. That action can be buying your products, or just joining your community- but move people to action you must if you want something more than a mediocre speaking career.
Profit Principle #7: Profit. You must automate and systemise your business effectively to maximise revenue and minimise expenses. Think about efficient staffing, useful software, smart business structures and adequate legal protection. Maximum profit for minimum attention is the goal!
If you follow these 7 profit principles your speaking career will be a profitable and successful one. Importantly you can enjoy a “Lifestyle Business” not just a energy-draining vocation.
